I am a bit confused - sorry, really don't mean to be dense (but I am not all that computer literate)

Once that download is completed I am guessing that I should check the hash thing, but what do I do after that?

That link is downloading the .iso right now so that does not seem to be an issue

    - - - Updated - - -

there is another link in the one that you gave me for this Win10XPE - Build Your Own Rescue Media
    Should I be doing that?

    - - - Updated - - -

I'm not sure if this site is one to be trusted but I did find information on the hash here Hashes for 64-bit English Windows 1803 : Windows10

You're talking about two completely different iso's. One for 1803, the other is for a live boot disk, Kyhi's, with lots of utilities on it, and that's 1607 or earlier I think. It's fine to get both.

    I've downloaded an 1803 iso:

and using a tool from that link:

still waiting on the download to complete from Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk - it looks like it will be about an hour.

I was ready that link - but I am still confused as to what I do once it is on my computer

Should I also be downloading some of the other items on that page?

    - - - Updated - - -

the hash that I posted was from the download I did yesterday using the link that was given to me for downloading the .iso for version 1803 to do the repair on my pc Click image for larger version.

I am still waiting for the download from Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk to completely download

comparing the hash that I got using Hash Tab it does not match what you posted - of that is for the same .iso I was downloading yesterday

this is the hash from the first download I did the day before yesterday

I downloaded the file again yesterday since I was getting those errors when I clicked to mount it and then clicked the setup option.

Hash tags are different on both of them and I selected the same file both times - but neither of them match yours

    - - - Updated - - -

that .iso from Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk is done downloading and I right clicked and selected properties and ran the hash thing and it did not come up with the same information as the information on the download showed Click image for larger version.

Why am I getting incorrect hash things?

Sounds like you have download issues. If you were to use the UUP DUMP site and could find the right iso, you may be able to use Free Download Manager (FDM) - which you can download and install.

Another approach is option 3 here (The original News item about the 1803 release)
    Download Windows 10 ISO File

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kyhi's iso needs to be processed correctly to create a bootable disk.

*** It's a totally different disk with a totally different purpose- it's not for installing Windows. It's to boot your PC from as per the thread that discussed it for troubleshooting. Don't compare it with 1803- it's not even that build, nor is it a Win 10 installation medium.

That means either using diskpart commands (published on the site a number of times) or a free tool called Rufus. Instructions cna be found on the web, or you could use those in a Tutorial for creating a Win 10 bootable disk here.

I have the file Win14393PEXE-X86 (17.01.16) on my computer now (but the hash tag does not match the information on that site so I am trying again - just in case. Not sure what exactly I need to do once the download is completed. Do I just run that .iso to fix the computer, do I need to burn it to a disc first or a flash drive (since I keep seeing mention of a flash drive) or do I follow the steps "How to add Recovery Media as Bootable Option To HDD"

no idea how to add a partition to the end of my hard drive -as stated in the part on how to add recovery media as bootable option to hdd

    - - - Updated - - -

Okay, I found this free download manager - Free Download Manager - download everything from the internet So I will download that - but I am not certain of which version to select from that UUP DUMP site - there are so many of them. I am guessing that I don't want the amd ones since I have an intel processor

I did see one that says
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 (17134.858) x86 and one that says Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 (17134.858) x86
Then down a little further is Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 (17134.829) x86 again and Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 (17134.829) x86

    Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 (17134.799) x86 and Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803 (17134.799) x86

there are more with those titles and the only difference is the numbers in the ( ) on each of those and since you said to be careful, I don't want to get the wrong one and make things worse than they are now.

Maybe I should try using the download manager and download the link from the first site I was given?

This is not your priority really- the 1803 iso is.

I have the file Win14393PEXE-X86 (17.01.16) on my computer now (but the hash tag does not match the information on that site so I am trying again - just in case. Not sure what exactly I need to do once the download is completed. No. you

    a. create a bootable disk from it (as I said, that's a series of commands, or a freeware tool called RUFUS - do NOT simply copy the iso to a disk- that will just be a data disk.

    b. boot your PC from that disk- it will then boot entirely from the disk and present a Win 10 desktop with a load
    of tools

Use instructions here for Win 10 iso's but instead use Kyhi's iso.
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10
    Options 2 or 4.

or- if you have a DVD drive, you could burn it to a DVD.

It's for troubleshooting and has NOTHING to do with your 1803 iso.

Sorry, I can't help you further with 1803.
I have given you 3 different ways to get it
I have given you the hash codes from one I downloaded.

I went to the link to try option 3 as you suggested - Download Windows 10 ISO File

tried doing the rufus thing with the file I downloaded - the Kyhi iso and it stated that it was corrupt so I am trying that download again using that download manager.

    - - - Updated - - -

I am going to try doing the downloads on that little laptop I have and see if they are still coming up as corrupt. this is going to take awhile. But at least the Kyhi download isn't too large so I should be able to know if that one if okay fairly quickly

    - - - Updated - - -

I only use that little laptop when I am having problems with this pc - to research the problem so here's hoping that the downloads work on that pc

but there is no option for April just these
OK sorry, I made an assumption there- seems that's just valid for the current release(s).

It does give the option for October of 2018 as well, but they are the only 2 options. No problem - it was worth a try. :)

I did download the file using the other computer as well as that Kyhi's .iso and now to transfer them to this computer and then try using the 1803 .iso file and see what happens and if not, then I will create that bootable usb with the Kyhi .iso and let that run and see what happens. Will be back in touch as soon as I can to let you know how things are going.

I just want to thank you for all of your patience and assistance over the past few days to help me. I GREATLY Appreciate it.

just realized that I downloaded the Kyhi's x86 (which is not for the 64 bit operating systems) - not sure what the heck I was thinking yesterday - well, I will have to download the x64 file now.

It is a very useful tool- if you have permission problems, an unbootable PC, want to use some of the diagnostic tools... and there are all the DIY options when building your own so you can add your own - thread at the top of the Software and Apps section.
