    Laptop having issues waking from sleep


    See these two threads for reference - Dell Inspiron 15 5577 can't resume from sleep

    No power from SSD when waking from sleep Windows 10

    I used to put the laptop to sleep from Windows and just leave the screen lid open, but however, The issue happens even when I close the lid and then reopen it to resume from sleep. It just seems to "give up" from returning from sleep after 3 days (about). It works perfectly fine for about 3 days and just doesn't want to resume from sleep no matter what method I try to use to make it resume from sleep.

    Hi osly

    First lets try shutting off hibernation.

    Command Prompt(admin) or Powershell(Admin)

    powercfg -h off

    to reverse change the word off to on.

    I've disabled Hibernation using that exact command about 1-2 months ago.

    This will produce an Energy report on desktop that you can analyze.

    At a Command Prompt (admin) type the following command

    powercfg /energy /output %userprofile%\desktop\Energy.html
