    Disk Cleanup

    Hello Forum,
Recently made system upgrade to version 1803. (Auto update still disabled). Opened the MS update catalog and downloaded almost all update files for this version (x64), read a little about each one and worked for 3 days to install them. When finished I saw that used space on C drive became large. Checked with the "System cleanup" tool, and after 2.5 hours it cleaned about
    17 GB.
My question is: How can I make sure it did not wipe all my 3 days of work installing about 30 updates ?
In the updates history I see them all.
    Answers will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Motim

Disk Cleanup does not uninstall updates, if it did we would all be in trouble. That functionality is just not built into Disk Cleanup.

Probably better to use the new Windows 10 utilities which is at:
Settings > System > Storage > click on the "Free up space now" link.
That details various areas, some of which are pre-selected, so make sure of those before removing files.
    First is "Windows Update Clean-up"
Personally I always untick that one, so retaining the ability to remove/reinstall an update easily, never needed to yet but....
Things are better explained there than in the old Control Panel route.

It is the install files that are cleaned up, not the actual update.

Your method of updating is tortuous, makes the MS way seem a breeze.

    about 30 updates
    That is an incredible number.

You do realise that anything called a Cumulative update is superceded entirely by its next version?
    - So for the routine CUs you only need to get the latest one for your version number 1803 [and you do not need any CUs for older versions]
    - Similarly, for something called [just for example] .Net CU you would only need the latest one if there was more than one available.

    I generally get:-

Monthly or twice monthly - a CU
    - They are listed in Windows 10 update history which contains links to details of each one
    - There is invariably an article about each one in this forum and it contains download links so you can avoid searching the MS update catalog every time
    - Both the above identify if any SSU is needed and they provide links to it

Every few months - an SSU update
    - This must always be installed before the CU

    monthly - Flash
    - There is often an article about each one in this forum and it contains download links so you can avoid searching the MS update catalog every time

    monthly - MRT
    - This is always called KB890830
    - MRT info and latest download link
    - KB890830 MRT in Microsoft Update Catalog
It often provides two installation files
    - Delta [much smaller] so if you know you were previously up to date you can just install this
    - larger one so if you are not sure whether or not you installed the previous month's update you can install this one

often twice daily - WD definitions update
    - Not in the update catalog
    - If you go without updates for a week it can be worth just downloading the current set from Get the latest definitions - download lists page MS MPC or directly from the relevant link Windows Defender definitions updates to date - 32-bit or Windows Defender definitions updates to date - 64-bit

once in a blue moon - WD platform update
    - I have sometimes found that the next WD definitions update performs the platform update at the same time
    - At other times I have used WUMgr [below] to get a download link specifically for the platform update so I can download it on its own.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I use WUMgr to identify which updates I need.
    - WUMgr Review - gHacks Tech News
    - Toolkit Item Introducing Windows Update Manager - Win10Guru
    - How to download specific Windows 10 updates - AddictiveTips
    - I then check this forum for any threads about them so I can benefit from others' experience.

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    I update manually because
    - I have three 64 bit Windows 10 computers that need the same updates so I download once & use three times.
    - I like to make a new system image before any CU just in case it proves to be a problem.

To check to see if any upgrade remains installed you can attempt to uninstall it.
If it is displayed then it is installed.
If it is not displayed then it is not installed.

When performing Windows upgrades a Windows.old is created.
    This is a large file.
This allows a revert within a ten day period.
After ten days Windows will automatically delete this file.
