System slowdown after a little work... strange for a new computer....

Hi Folks,

Back again. Hoping someone can shed some light on this issue. Being a graphics artist I need a zippy computer. The new rig I'm working from now is not as zippy as I expected. I upgraded from an i7 to an i9 and have a much more robust graphics card and motherboard... 32 gigs of DDR 4 so I would expect the system to be banging fast compared to my older rig... this is not the case... After about an hour working the system slows WAY down like the paging file isn't keeping up or something. Take a look at my specs (yes, I've finally updated them ) and if you have some suggestions that I can try to get things running smoother and faster I'd be most appreciative.

Hmm no help with this from all these brilliant folks here?

Here's what I've done to try to determine what's going on.... I've set the paging files up.... the default seemed OK but since I've got 32 Gigs of DDR RAM I set the minimal up to 3200 and maximal up to 9600 (according to info on the web tripling the amount in the maximum box is recommended). Didn't seem to help too much.

I've ran a registry cleaner and made sure my reg is top notch. Made no difference.

I ran a memory stick scan last night, took about an hour and once back in Windows the tests found nothing wrong with the DDR sticks!

Tried disabling as many start up with Windows services... Made no difference.

Hard drives are all healthy according to the system as well!

I wish there was a tool out there that I could run that could determine what processes are making things so "sticky" and a way to even things out. Seems very odd to me.... this behavior!

What do you mean by slow? It's slow when you run a program? Or when you browse the internet ?
Give us some examples.
Have you checked task explorer if there is a process hogging the cpu ?
Have you tried a clean boot?

Hi, Sorry for the delay. At work all day yesterday and got home late so didn't boot up..

#zinou what I mean that every process seems to take up to a few seconds to start up rather than double clicking on ANYTHING is usually instantaneous. The more things I'm doing the slower things get. The other day it got so bad I rebooted to clear out what ever was going on.

As stated I've ran so many diagnostic tests ... RAM checks out, Hard drives check out, Video card checks out.. I think it's either a software issue or I was thinking could it be some sort of a security check that's on that's slowing things down? All I have on board for firewall and security is what comes with Windows 10 as I've never had any issues just using what MS provides!

And what task manager is showing?
CPU consumption?

Well not doing much right now so it's really not much of anything to so but here is a screen grab

Thank you.. will do. Not a laptop though. It's a huge ass desktop computer for graphics content creation... so I'm running big programs like ZBrush and Autodesk's Mudbox as well as other big program (Photoshop I think meets that criteria)

I am thoroughly convinced this is a software issue or a MS security system issue where it's checking everything I'm opening
