People will differ on what an acceptable time is based on exactly what is meant by "boot time"---beginning and ending at what precise points. But yeah, as normally used, that's acceptable, particularly if referring to a standard 2.5 inch SATA drive--which is likely what your Crucial MX500 is.

There's a tool (script) somewhere on this site that can measure it. As I recall, it includes a reboot that cycles through shutdown, POST, and back to when all icons are loaded on the desktop? I used to get around 25 seconds on that with Windows 7, but haven't run it in a long time.

I am running a MX500 too as boot drive. If you right click Start, hit task manager, show details at the bottom and click the startup tab where it lists your startup apps, at the top it tell you the BIOS boot time. Mine is 16.7 seconds for reference.

Glary and Task Manager are measuring different things.

My last BIOS time in Task Manager startup tab is 14.8 seconds on an older Crucial MX 100.

Looks to me like your performance is perfectly normal.

interesting ....I just restarted with fast boot enabled and got last bios time 11.3 seconds.

I'm troubleshooting to find why the hdmi audio keeps dropping with fast boot enabled.

It makes no difference how windows is booting, because last bios time measures the time before windows boots.

the Last BIOS Time of a Windows PC is the time your computer’s BIOS (more precisely, UEFI firmware) takes to initialize your hardware before it starts booting Windows OS.
