Using Darik Boot and Nuke for my work (cleaning HDDs so we can put Linux Mint on it for 'new' PCs) but on some old HDDs DBnN will not clean them all, atleast halfway... Faulty HDDs (second-hand ones) orrrrrr...............

Have you tried Diskpart and its clean command?

If that doesn't work in Diskpart you can issue an override

    select disk 0
    select partition 4
    delete partition override

Assuming you wanted to change disk 0 and the partition you were after is number 4. Start with a list disk to target the right disk. Diskpart can be very unforgiving.
