    Disk Cleanup Freezes - Help!

    Every time I run disk cleanup to cleanup system files it freezes. How do i fix this?

    If your removing system files on a large drive it can take a very long time maybe over 30mins

    Yup. It's not freezing. Cleaning up Windows Updates can take a long time as Samuria said.

    Another option is to use third party software such as Ccleaner:
    Download CCleaner | Clean, optimize tune up your PC, free!

    Many in Ten Forums use the tool.

    The tool has an option to clean the registry and most do not use this tab.
