Laptop really slow

Hello,

I have an HP laptop purchased 6 years ago. It is running on windows 10. Since I got it, the laptop is really slow, not able to go on a normal website page quick, takes time to load.

I have performed a spy bot search and destroy, defragment, disk cleanup, run Avast with no success.

I found this forum and I want to give it a try and see if it can be fixed. I know I should have returned to Walmart back then but I didn't do it.

Publish a Snapshot using Speccy, taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left. Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.

Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):

Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot. You will see the following prompt:

Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the Add Reply button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Send below the Reply box.

Is it just slow on the net or everything. If it's just the net we need to know how you connect WiFi or cable. Open a file prompt type
Ipconfig /all

Post results
Spybot will slow it to crawl how many entries has it out in the host file?

it is not just the internet, everything, even to click on start, you feel the delay, it is not instant

The processor is definitely low end:

The AMD E1-2100 is a mobile dual-core SoC for low-end subnotebooks and netbooks, which was presented in mid-2013. In addition to 2 CPU cores with a base clock speed of 1.0 GHz (no turbo), the 28-nanometer chip also integrates a Radeon HD 8210 GPU, a single-channel DDR3L-1333 memory controller as well as the Southbridge with various I/O- ports.

Architecture
Both Kabini (for notebooks) and Temash (tablets and compact subnotebooks) are based on AMD's new Jaguar architecture, which replaces the previous Bobcat models (e.g. the E-350). According to AMD, the performance per clock has been increased by about 15 percent. Furthermore, various modern instruction set extensions such as SSE up to version 4.2, AVX and AES are now supported. The finer 28-nanometer process from TSMC allows lower voltages and/or higher clock rates compared to Bobcat, as well as up to 4 CPU cores (Bobcat: 2 cores).

Performance
Due to the low clock speed of just 1.0 GHz, the performance is quite modest and similar to the old AMD C-60. For simple office and multimedia tasks, the E1-2100 has sufficient power; however, it will quickly reach its limits in more demanding applications and games.

Low power SOC dual core CPU running on 1333 RAM. Win 10 can barely run on a 7200 RPM Mechanical HDD, the 5400 RPM laptop drives don't stand a chance. Replace the HDD with a SSD

Not on a hard disk??
Microsoft lists the Windows 10 minimum hardware requirements as:

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Free hard disk space: 16 GB
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
A Microsoft account and Internet access

Try reinstalling a fresh install of Windows 10. You can download from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10. I would also upgrade the laptop to maximum RAM. A SSD is better for laptops, since they are not prone to damage like platter drives are. Crucial.com sells both RAM and SSD’s.

What it isn't is it isn't a memory usage problem (55% in use).

But what is using your CPU time? You've not organised the column high to low for either CPU or Disk use, so the offenders are not at the top (to do that, click the tab at the top of the column).

Avast Antivirus installer? 23%? Why? Are you trying to install it? Somehow you need to get rid of that for now.
Ace Stream - no idea what it is- please advise- but it's using a lot of CPU time.
- it seems to be some sort of media platform. Uninstall it for now.

If your processor is constantly churning away for probably no good reason, it's not going to be available to you.

So first look at which processes are using lots of resources, and stop them where you can. When you've done that, post back with appropriate screenshots.

If resource usage is still high do a clean boot, and post a task manager screenshot for comparison.

Do these after logging in and without launching programs manually.

Given the list of processes shown all start with 'A' it looks as if you've a heck of a lot running... is all of it necessary?

You've several called Avast Browser Update... again, that's strange. Points again to starting by eliminating Avast, which is also responsible for some disk usage. (Can't see what else is using your disk from that).
