Isn't the point of more cores for performance? Capping a 9700k to 80%, only makes sense if you are doing that while surfing the net or non cpu demanding chores. But I assume if you buy a 9700k, you are doing more than surfing the net and type word documents only. If you aren't gaming or high cpu demanding chores, then why buy the top of the line performance processor?

The i7 9700K is the fastest processor right now, The i9 9900K is a little slower in some games but it's almost the same.

And i found out after a month of making this post is that this only affects you in idle. (Setting it to 99% works best because it dropped some temps in idle) Setting core voltage offset in the intel extreme utility works wonders and that's the only thing to do that lowers temperature of the cpu while playing games, This doesn't harm the CPU in any way, It's free performance and a cooler cpu. You set the core voltage offset to -0.005 then apply, Test it and if it doesn't bsod then go up by 5 till you can play games without getting bsod. :) (Use a stress test to test the CPU every time you click apply)
You can set it manually in the bios but imo i like the ixu because it's easier and faster to do.
