Once you compress, there will never be enough space.
    Time to consider an upgrade?

Then just right click the folders you want to compress, click properties, Attributes/advanced (click advanced) and tick the box that says "compress contents to save disk space" - click ok.
I already did. Windows still tells me to compress my ssd. I can save about 12gb right now. It seems to be a bit buggy.

Here you go. Save it as .reg and then import it.
It didn't work. It still says about 8gb can be saved, after running windows disk cleanup. It seems like this may have solved itself though, is anyone else still getting a message to compress their ssd?

Yes and also in Settings >> Storage >> Free up space now.

    It is very annoying.

Also, it has an option to clean OneDrive files telling me to turn on On-Demand even though I disabled and never use OneDrive.

I get that message as well. It says i can save 1 gigabyte, but it still says the same thing if i run windows disk cleanup again? Also, it seems that windows disk cleanup deletes your downloaded files as well, so i just lost some important files.

I always download files to a directory of my choice which makes you immune from Windows cleaning.

Yes, but i prefer my downloads to be in my downloads folder. I didn't really get this issue until recently. I read somewhere that compressing the os slows your computer, is this true?
