    Random bogging down leading to system freezing

    Ever since I upgraded to the October update some days ago, I've been having system slow downs leading to it freezing. I would need to hard reset and sometimes it happens a few minutes into the reset. I've tried updating my graphics driver to no avail.

    I saw these in the event viewer. There are others but these two had multiple entries especially the "User Profile Service" one.

    Hi, how much free space do you have on C: ?
    Could be a driver issue.. you could try
    Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10 | Tutorials

    (Drivers are replaced when upgrading Windows)

    Have you checked your BIOS is up to date?

    Freezes are hard to identify. Try a clean boot and see if you still experience one.

    What is the make/model of the laptop? 20Gb RAM is an unusual number. Is all the RAM exactly the same?

    Oh it's a desktop. Sorry. Made a mistake while updating my system specs before. The memory aren't the same.

    Yes, but I don't have the laptop with me anymore. Sold it when I graduated.

    I've tried to run Driver Verifier twice but it always gave me this and it won't reset by itself. Had to hard reset.

    Hi, congratulations, you've succeeded: from the tutorial
    Driver Verifier is a diagnostic tool built into Windows 10, it is designed to verify both native Microsoft drivers and third party drivers. Driver Verifier's verification process involves putting heavy stress on drivers with the intention of making bad, outdated, incompatible or misbehaving drivers fail. The required result is a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) which will generate a crash dump for debugging purposes.

    You can do a disk check first (e.g. Hard disk Sentinel trial- the best text analysis I know of on its GUI) or HD Tune (Heath and Error scan tabs) - free - post the result.

    If ok, run
    chkdsk C: \scan
    and post the result.

    Then, with a link back to this thread, please see the posting instructions for the BSOD section of the forum, which require data collection with a tool.

    The preferred way to post a screenshot is to use the Insert Image icon above your post.
