Defragging a 2 Terabyte Drive

It's ok to defrag a 2+ TB HDD. I have a 5TB HDD using 1.59 TB of space. Usually I only opt for fragmented files only, if the fragmentation is over 20 percent. So him having 300 GB used up really isn't that much data, and I doubt that even half of it is fragmented/would need to be worked with.

MS defrag uses a threshold level of 64MB fragments which achieves a balance between the work done during defrag and the reduction in work required when subsequently using the disk - the I/O during defrag reduces the I/O during normal use.

I have a 1TB drive in here that I defrag every month and this drive's been with me since I was 15 years old. It's still fine today, no bad sectors still.
