DO I need to re-create recovery disk after windows update?

After a few system crash I now create a recovery disk from windows 10 to shorten my recovery in case it crash again. But since windows 10 updates are as frequent as weekly, if not daily, do I need to create the recovery disk again in every update?

You should be doing image backups to an external hard drive using a program like Macrium Reflect. You can get an external hard drive for $60 from Amazon, Tiger Direct or similar places. You can use the free version of Macrium though I bought the Premium version.

Set it up to do this on a schedule. Mine runs every Friday evening at 8PM for my boot drive and 9PM for my data drives.
I have it keep one full and 3 differential backups for each so I have a months worth of backup. Others do nightly backups.

If there is a major Feature Update pending then do the backup just before you do the update so you can easily get back to where you were if something goes wrong. Much better than a recovery disk.

You only really need to make a recovery drive/disk about every 6 months. The same for the Win 10 install Media.

I do this about midway between the big 6 month version updates, which seems a sensible point.

If you do regular image backups, why do you need a recovery drive/disk? I don't understand.
