Windows 10 on a model LENOVO Laptop is slowly degrading

My LENOVO Laptop - purchased sometime late 2017
    ideapad FLEX 4-1580 Signature Ed
    i7-7500 VCPU @ 2.70 GHz 290 GHz
    16 GB memory
    64 bit OS x64 processor
    475gb SSD root drive
    Windows 10 HOME 16299 build 16299
    Purchased in 2017, never reloaded...

Recently it is getting slower and slower... even the booting.
    Internet is slowing..
I suspect it is getting corrupted. With Win XP/7... a good reload of OS, reload Applications were good for another 6 mo or so. Win 10 seems to be a "different animal"

With other Windows OS's [My first OS was DOS 1.0 on an IBM PC [original] and have had ever Microsoft OS since DOS 1.0 except Win 8, which I skipped.
On those SYS it was easy to just RELOAD OS from a CD, reload APPS... another 6 mo.

But with Lenovo, Win 10, no discs were supplied.
There is a FOLDER: Windowsd10 Upgrade ??? what is it for? upgrade to what.
Question: Can someone advise how to:
get a clean copy of Win 10 to RELOAD Like we did on XP,7....?

Advise? Any other action to speed up other than a reload that will "clean up" my OS??

You can download the latest iso from Download Windows 10
You have the option to upgrade your current system or create dvd or usb to boot from to do a clean install you dont need a key as its activated via MS servers you just skip the serial.

Have you never updated your system as its an old build and your missing bug fixes new improvments and security.

The upgrade is to upgrade home to pro.

It worth using the update option on the site to the latest version and see if that improves it before doing a clean install

    1) Had you blocked Windows updates or were there failure to upgrade error messages and codes?

    2) There are log collectors that are used in another forum.
Please run both the DM and BETA log collector and post zips into this thread:
BSOD - Posting Instructions - Windows 10 Forums

    3) The "My Computer" section has space for multiple computers.
    4) Please update the specs in the "My Computer" section:

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums | Tutorials
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)

    5) Find a flash drive that you can format ( > or = 8 GB)
    6) Create a bootable Windows 10 iso
    Download Windows 10

With XP, 7 etc. a factory reset was performed by by loading a separate system image from an OEM recovery partition, typically a hidden 10-15 GB partition, or from an OEM recovery disk.

With Windows 10 a factory reset is performed by reinstalling Windows using the existing system files as the source. This means the is no need to tie up tens of GB with a factory image that would seldom be used, and that there is no need to supply a 'factory reset' disk or usb. For an OEM pre-installed system this includes reinstalling the OEM custom apps and drivers. See this tutorial...

    Reset Windows 10 | Tutorials

If you want to make a 'factory reset' usb, you can make one by creating a Recovery Drive with the option to 'include system files' selected. Again, the OEM apps and drivers will be included if this was an OEM pre-installed system.

I too am puzzled as to why you are still on build 16299. That is version 1709, the Fall Creators Update. Windows Update should by now have updated you to at least build 17134, version 1803, the April 2018 Update, or even to 17763, 1809, the October 2018 Update.

Precisely what build does Winver say are you on? If Windows Update is working correctly you should by now have received the January 2019 security update for 1709 and be on build 16299.904.
