Samsung SSD Rapid Mode 0 On or Off?

    I think the thing you need to be aware of with the Rapid Mode is that it uses system RAM to cache read/ write operations, on a very stable system this is fine, but should there be a sudden loss of power or for example a system crash (lockup) where a hard restart is needed you could loose a lot of data or even end up with an unbootable system. So on a system used for critical data I would turn rapid mode off for data safety. Similar system to Windows quick removal or performance setting for USB drives.
    And of course always have a current backup and system image.

    Just for info: Samsung Magician uses Windows trim module to trim an ssd.
    Never noticed it being a resource hog but I may investigate that later.

    The hardware of Samsung ( SSDs ) is very good , reliable and useable for many years .
    The software ( Magician ) that comes with it , is pure bloated crap , it decreases your speed in many ways................
