    Right. I think you are missing the point of why I undervolt or at least this is the reason that I undervolt and what undervolting does or at least as far as I understand what it does. I am not nor have I have been under the impression that undervolting will lead to any kind of performance gain. Undervolting for me is all about the thermals.

    I am not looking for this either. My notebook has been tethered to my desk and the wall socket 99% of the time I have had it. Did you take a look at the link I included in my previous post:

    "Undervolting is a process through which voltage to computer processors and components is decreased dynamically on run-time. It is a process within dynamic voltage scaling that enables conserving electric voltage to reduce energy consumption and heat produced by computing components."

    So don't disable SpeedStep in your case, right?
