Superfetch disable

    Superfetch disable


    In Windows 10, v1809 Superfetch is no longer listed as a service.



    How can it be disabled - perhaps via the registry?

    "Superfetch" has been renamed to "SysMain" in services.msc

    no superfetch service at 1809???

    Leaving the service enabled causes the launch of programs via keyboard shortcuts to lag by about three seconds. Launch by mouse click is instantaneous. Also, some macros may not run properly due to the delay.
    This is a longstanding issue.

Hi have you disabled Superfetch ? disabling the service Superfetch and regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters EnablePrefetcher=0 thanks
