Went in fine, had 3 bugs.
    Now I have 2 bugs I'm chasing.
1st one is kinda amusing, I have a spot on my taskbar that hides the system icon.
Mouse click does nothing, it hides whatever is there.

2nd one is the PITA ... Nvidia GeForce Experience wont update and wont install the Nvidia Control panel.
Yes, DDU is being used properly, No, 3x and its still not installed.
I'm doing this and I have school work to do.

Will do another post next weekend, no time now.

You have Your an NVIDIA GTX 1070.
When you are ready to get back on your computer go to
    Drivers | GeForce
Scroll down to Auto Detect your GPU. Let it run etc. If there are any error messages, let us know exactly what they are.
If it doesn't install the Nvidia Control panel, let us know why.

Did you let Windows Update take care of your Nvidia driver install after running DDU? (you can see if this happened if there's a 'driver' category in the history log). On 1809 Windows will leave behind your driver as a declarative componentized hardware supported driver (DCH) and the Control panel will be missing unless you get the UW version. You need to disable your internet connection in between DDU and a custom driver installation and make sure you get the standard set.

Penny. I advise you downloading latest drivers for your GTX 1050 from nVidia's website and then repackage installation with NVSlimmer. Thus, you will avoid installing nVidia's bloat and avoid nVidia's telemetry too. I have installed latest nvslimmed drivers this way with no apparent issues on two different nVidia cards.

PS - You probably won't need GeForce Experience either...

Windows auto update causes the Nvidia issue.

DL DDU and latest Nvidia update for your system to your desktop
    Disconnect from the internet, LAN/WiFi.
Delete all Nvidia from 'Programs and Features'
    Shutdown, Restart.
    Delete Nvidia from 'Device Manager'
    Shutdown, Restart.
Run DDU in ether Safe Mode, or not (I didn't, worked fine for me).
    Reboot.
    Install Nvidia.
    Reboot.
    Connect to the internet.

    Was a windows scaling issue.
I was set to 115%, this was the result with the Nvidia issue.
Fixed the Nvidia issue and the scaling corrected, icons work properly now.

I have a 240 GB OS drive that is not partitioned off.
I have plenty of room for necessary drivers and software.
Nvidia's crash reporting and telemetry might be considered bloat to some, and may want to get rid of it, but it provides a better overall product for me.
A bit extra attached to necessary drivers is not a concern for me.
Candy Crush Saga on the other hand, is GONE!
    Has a GTX 1070 ... not 1050
