Which is Best for SSD and USB 3.0 Performance

    Hi All

Is Standard ATA controller best, or is it best using the Intel 100/200 Serial ATA controller, my usb 3.0 transfer rate doesn't seem that fast, and transfers from my Secondary storage drive to my new USB 3.0 flash drive

Clean Install of System other night
right now Running Avast Free Antivirus after an issue recently that ADW Cleaner detected Thebrighttag.com, and decided after the clean install to stick with Avast Free for now, unless I change my mind one more time in coming days, will see

The specs show USB 3.x ports so first be sure you are using the USB 3 cable that came with the External drive, identifiable by the blue center piece in the plug, and plugged into USB 3.x ports on the computer, also identifiable by the blue center. [USB 2.x has black center pieces.] The USB 3 port on External drives usually is not interchangeable with USB 2.x cables. Also check in Device Manager, USB section that it shows USB 3 mentioned without any error marks on the icon/s. I have a couple of USB 3 docks for SATA drives and once in awhile have to recycle the power to get them properly recognized. If using External USB 3 Hubs for more ports be sure all the parts used are rated for USB 3.

Well the Flash drive does show Blue center piece, will check Device manager for any problems as well. Might need to look into a hub sometime though

It really depends on the controller in the external pocket drive, how fast it will transfer.
