Disk Clean-Up shows non-existant data in Downloads Folder

Since the last major update in October, Disk Clean-up always shows about 2.4MB of data in the C:\Users\___\Downloads folder.

I dont use this folder but even so, I check with "view>hidden items" on to make sure it is empty but disk clean-up always shows about 2.4MB. Then after running clean-up to empty it, I still have around 1MB when I fire up disk clean-up straight afterwards.

I have checked the public and default user folders too, all empty. Any ideas?

It's probably a bug. I don't even know why downloads folder was included there. I don't even know why the interface is so crappy (you cannot preview what is going to be deleted). (By crappy interface I am referring to "Free space now" feature under modern config, not the cleanmgr.exe thing).

Yes, it seems to be a bug. The same type of bug has affected the Temporary Internet files count for as long as I can remember. I just ignore it, the 'files' don't actually exist or take up space.
