Very sluggish in games/fps drops

Hi guys, and Happy Holidays :)

I'm at witts end with this thing, I updated to the October 1809 update, but can't remember if the issue started before that, in games I have lost at least half of the FPS I used to get, for example, in Euro Truck Sim 2 I used to get 140 easily, now I'm lucky to get 50! Same has Battlefield V I used to get 120+ with custom settings, now I'm down to 70fps, but worst of all, in Fifa I could get 200 fps easily, I still do but I get severe microstuttering, will list the things I have tried

Ran SFC/Scannow (fine)
Defragged my gaming drive (fine) but Bf is on a Intel SSD
Ran Malware software
Updated Nvidia drivers to the latest to no avail
Installed all latest windows drivers
Installed Latest Bios and drivers from website

MSI gaming x370
Msi Armor GTX 1070
16GB Corsair Vengeance 3000mhz DDR4
Coolermaster Lite 120mm AIO
Kingston 128GB (windows) SSD
2TB Firecuda (Gaming) SSHD

P.s I have a stable Overclock at 3.95Ghz on all cores, tested using AIDA64 for 24 Hours with no crashes, I have not overclocked the ram only set it to XMP and the GPU is stock out the box.

Thanks for the reply... DDU was the first thing I did (used DDU installed drivers then uninstalled the driver again with DDU) but I don't think it's my graphics drivers, I think it's something to do with the Windows update.

Yes I've tried without the Overclock and still the same, it all started when I installed the 1809 patch for windows, my specs are has follows:

Amd Ryzen 1800x @ 3.95GHZ
Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz
Msi X370 Gaming Motherboard (Bios up to date)
Coolermaster Lite 120mm AIO
Msi Armor GTX 1070
Kinston 128GB SSD
Intel 250GB SSD
Seagate Firecuda SSHD 2TB
Hitachi HDD 640GB
Seagate HHD 250GB

Cpu idles around 30c and under gaming load around 45/50c

It certainly sounds like this is a driver issue since this happened after the 1809 update. If you didn't delete the Windows.old folder, you could see about reverting back to 1803 and seeing if the problem remains or not.

Alternatively, I would check all of the hardware manufacturer's driver pages for everything in your system to see if they released any new drivers.

I don't have the Windows.old folder anymore has I delete the backups to save space

Would I go to AMD website and look up my motherboard? I've never downloaded straight from AMD before, always used MSI.

Yes. Go to AMD webpage and download latest chipset drivers for your mainboard.
