    permanently disable Windows 10 compact OS feature


    Anybody can give a tip how to permanently disable Windows 10 compact OS feature?

    If I initiate manually: " compact /CompactOS: never "
    it will work for a day than the system automatically goes back to compact state again within a day
    (Windows 10 Home Version 1803)

    It's a useless feature which doesn't make more than 1-2 GB of space saving but killing the speed of the system and reducing SSD lifetime, I wanna permanently disable it

    I would not be doing it if your SSD has plenty of free space. It is trying to assist in allowing the feature update to succeed.

    Although I have never enabled the feature on my system, after reading about the advantages of this feature I am thinking about enabling it.

    I tried to enable this feature but I couldn't. Windows has determined that this feature would not benefit my system. Oh well!!!!!
