    Win 10 1809 PIN Slow Boot

    I have done everything, and I mean EVERYTHING (to include a fresh install (not upgrade) and installing drivers/configuring settings one by one with restarts in between each... and yes, it took 3 days to figure this out) to narrow my issue down to two causes:

    Intel Management Engine Interface - No big deal, I just use the generic drivers

    Windows Credentials - PIN - When I set a PIN, the laptop is slower to shutdown/restart/boot. When I remove the PIN, all is done within seconds (when enabled, literally 2-3 minutes).

    Anyone else have this issue that have found the cause?

    *This ends with the same result for a Local Admin account and a Microsoft Account*

    Hi

    What you can do to troubleshoot that the right way and get answers to your problem is;

    1. Download and Install windows Performance Toolkit Download and install the Windows ADK | Microsoft Docs . Choose the package corresponding to your Windows version. Just install the "Windows Performance Toolkit" package.
    2. Record a trace using Windows Performance Recorder using these options: JustPaste.it - Share Text Images the Easy Way
    3. Compress the resulting file (very important)
    4. Share it through Send Large Files - Free Secure File Transfer - TransferNow or any other file sharing platform.

    I'll analyze your trace file and give you a feedback.
