    Virtual Memory (Noob Question)

So I recently found this article to increase my PC performance by setting this settings to, well it varies.

Quick question, how much do I need to put in minimal and max, I have like 8gb of memory right now.Virtual Memory (Noob Question)-qqqqqq.png

Click tickbox at to to automatically manage pagefile.

Windows 10 uses compressed memory and that works better if you let Windows manage pagefiling rather than you arbitrarily setting limits.

Most of those guides telling you to set limits pre-date Windows 10 and are rubbish anyway

Thanks! but you see, it was automatically allocated before then I unchecked it and take a screen shot, I would like to set it to my liking but I don't know how much I have to put.

Ok, no disrespect but why do you think you can set it to your liking if you do not know how much to put?
Manually setting it requires detailed knowledge of how various apps affect your memory, how they interact, whether you run lots of simultaneous apps etc.

    Windows automatically adjusts to needs.

Most of those articles are pure bs - they do not understand the changes in Windows 10 memory management.

You are far more likely to SLOW your pc down, or even crash if you set these things wrongly.

Just let Windows do its job.

Yep agreed, just let Windows manage it automatically.

With 8GB of RAM you shouldn't be running into pagefile usage issues that often anyway, even with a VM running Linux on top of W10 plus browsers open in both etc. I'm still within my 8GB RAM limit.
