Longer boot time with Asus X470-I 2700x

for those who have the Asus rog X470-I with Dan case and 2700x.

Has anyone experience longer boot time? I currently have 1080 ti with Asus X470 booting with wd black nvme and wd 1tb blue for storage.

I am currently experiencing longer boot from the moment I turn on the pc.
Power on > 20 second wait > splash logo > 13 sec boot to windows.

I just did fresh install windows 10 pro. But i feel like it’s either bios or another reinstall of windows.
    Anyone had this issue before?

    Pretty much nothing.

I have a similar setup. See "My computer" (system 1). I haven't updated the profile to the version of Win10 I'm running, which is 1809 (build 17763.55). Fast boot is enabled.

From power button press to the appearance of the Windows login screen is about 43 seconds.

I don't recall it ever being much less.

Is that normal? I remember when i had 8600k, it booted within 18 seconds. Is this an AMD thing, sadly?

I don't think so. I haven't timed system 2 (I7-5930k), but I don't think it's close to 18 seconds. The shortest boot times that I remember were from appliance PCs (Dell) at work, with their very limited BIOS settings.

Some motherboards take a long time to post. The Asus P8Z77 intel boards are over 20 seconds.

If only there’s a bios tweak to set that off for faster boot.

I've seen a setting for a faster boot, but it's not present on the Crosshair VII Hero. I forget what it was called, but it was a bit tricky to use: if there was a problem, it was necessary to clear the CMOS to boot the PC.

At least in my BIOS there's a Fast BOOT option but darn if I can see any difference if it's off or on. It takes about 10 seconds to get from cold start to windows start but there's 5 seconds that I set for it to display list of disks (I turned Asus logo display off). I think that logo is in UEFI partition on disk and may have some lag to it to read it.
I have seen longest BOOT delays with "Memory training" when RAM is overclocked manual or just left on auto. In some cases it even restarts once before going to windows BOOT.
Practically everything, including OC is manual here so from pushing start button to usable windows, It's about 14 -15 seconds.

Sadly for me it’s longer because it’s like 20 seconds black screen before I hit the splash logo and from there another 13 seconds. Maybe I will try disable the logo and see if that makes a difference.
