Hi folks
Trying chkdsk C: /r (as administrator) you get prompt do you want to run it at next restart.
W10 X-64 PRO 1803 latest updates.
OK restart - you see message hit any key to skip disk check
then you just get the logon screen in almost milliseconds - no log / console display etc and - and the chkdsk hasn't been done.
With KYHI's recovery disk the program works fine .

I had that problem with Windows once, I can't remember if it was 7, 8.1, or 10 though, it was a long time ago.
One question to trouble shoot; Can you boot into Advance Startup?

This has happened before, last time it was seen was in 1703...
Chkdsk not working?I used the command chkdsk /f /r C: in CMD .exe running as Administrator.
I had the prompt about run it when PC restarts, but when I restart PC, nothing happens.
Back then it took a CU to fix it...

- Addressed issue where autochk.exe can randomly skip drive checks and not fix corruptions, which may lead to data loss.
Edit: not that it helps much, but it works correctly in 1809.
See if either or both of these work:
Open the computer's windows advanced troubleshooting menu > command prompt > Aministrator X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe > X:\Sources > type: chkdsk /r C:
Use a windows 10 iso and boot the computer using the iso > click repair your computer > open command prompt > Admnistrator: X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe > X:\Sources> type: bcdedit | find "osdevice" > look for partition drive letter > type chkdsk /r B: (change the drive letter B: to the applicable partition seen with the prior command.
If neither of the above work see if the problem is fixed by performing an in place upgrade repair with the windows 10 iso.
