I cannot find a firm answer but how long is until windows 10 automatically deletes/cleans up windows.old? I know one can run disk clean up but I was curious to know. I thought it was 7 days but 1809 was installed just over a week ago. I’ve left my machine idle for an hour but it’s still there. Maybe it’s 10 days?

The time can be adjusted. Option #2:

It's currently up to 10 days by default, but you can manually delete it anytime though. I like using either option 4 or 5 below.

Thanks guys. Good to know it can be changed. More curious than anything else. I’ll let it roll past 10 days and leave the pc alone for an hour
