    Hi @he852100

    i understand your problem.

if you open the files in another compression program such as7-zip which i recommend instead of the default you get with windows. Does the same laggy issue occur?

About why this happen, my best guess is that the compression level is high on that .zip you got and that's why it it becomes laggy for you. I also notice the high cpu usage & memory...
Not sure what win10 version you got but if you have 1809 installed, it could be a new bug you found.
Or has this happen since early win10 release?

Could you post your pc specs :)?

    zip.
Zip with extremely high compression ratio?
If you finish watching it, I finally leave the compression pack. Still slow.

I did finish watching it :)
I notice your pc was still slow after you had open the .zip,
and that is probably because of the high mem & cpu in ur taskmanager.
(I did mention that i noticed it.) ( also checked the .gif you had in ur 1st post )

Yes see when you compress a zip folder depending on what program was used you can choose the compression level of the .zip
When Explorer opens the compressed packet, it becomes slow.-compress.png
When Explorer opens the compressed packet, it becomes slow.-compress2.png
This could be whats causing the sluggish behavior your pc demonstrates after you have opened that .zip file.

So if you instead use 7-zip does the lag disappear?

I don't think there's anything to do with the compression level. I can use winrar and 7z smoothly. Using Explorer on win7 and win8, I can operate smoothly.
Okay, I'll open the same file with 7z and RAR.

Well from what i can see in your video,
when you use winrar or 7-zip the slowness / sluggish behavior from your pc seems to be gone.
a lot less res from ur pc's cpu & mem is used aswell.

So what conclusion have you reached?
Are you trying to justify Explorer。
I want to solve the problem. Is there a way to do it

    @he852100

Justify Explorer, No i don't think i would be able to do that.

Please use 7-zip to open archived files instead of explorer, because your machine becomes sluggish.

Other reasons as to why you should use 7-zip instead of explorer, see below.

    • High compression ratio in 7z format with LZMA and LZMA2 compression
    • Supported formats:
      • Packing / unpacking: 7z, XZ, BZIP2, GZIP, TAR, ZIP and WIM
      • Unpacking only: AR, ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, CramFS, DMG, EXT, FAT, GPT, HFS, IHEX, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MBR, MSI, NSIS, NTFS, QCOW2, RAR, RPM, SquashFS, UDF, UEFI, VDI, VHD, VMDK, WIM, XAR and Z.

    • For ZIP and GZIP formats, 7-Zip provides a compression ratio that is 2-10 % better than the ratio provided by PKZip and WinZip
    • Strong AES-256 encryption in 7z and ZIP formats
    • Self-extracting capability for 7z format
    • Integration with Windows Shell
    • Powerful File Manager
    • Powerful command line version
    • Plugin for FAR Manager
    • Localizations for 87 languages

Or are you dead set to having all of your archived files open up in explorer?
