    1) Back up all important files to another computer or to the cloud
    2) The drive had a recent clean install. If there are important applications and files also make a backup image using Macrium and save the backup image to another drive or to the cloud

    3) Run Hard Disk Sentinel (free or trial edition):
    Hard Disk Sentinel - HDD health and temperature monitoring
    Post images into the thread for results on these tabs:
    a) Overview
    b) Temperature
    c) SMART
    In the left upper corner click report > txt file > post a share link into the thread using one drive , drop box, or google drive

    4) Run Sea Tools for Windows:

    Post an image of the SMART and long generic test results
    (This may take a few hours and can be run overnight)

    5) Choose one of the temperature monitoring software applications: Speecy, HW monitor, Speed fan:

    6) For startup and recovery system failure:
    a) uncheck automatically restart
    b) reboot to save the settings

    It can be easy to miss bsod if automatically restart is checked.
    With automatically restart unchecked if there is a bsod the computer should display a bugcheck and : (
    Sometimes it may display a misbehaving driver in the form *.sys
    If a bsod is witnessed it typically starts with a % counter.
    Allow the % counter to rise to 100% before rebooting so that there is sufficient time to create the dump file.

    7) Run the beta log collector and post a new zip into the thread:

    8) Remove one RAM module and test the computer with one RAM module at a time.
    Report the results into the thread: (unexpected shutdowns or restarts)

    9) In the left lower corner search type: system or system control > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings
    On the advanced tab under performance > click on settings > under performance options > click on the advanced tab > under virtual memory > click on change > post an image of the virtual memory tab into the thread

    For testing one RAM module at time this is an end user test.
    See if there are or are not unexpected shutdowns or reboots with one RAM module only in the computer.
    Test each RAM module for several days.
    If there is an unexpected shutdown and reboot then allow this to happen multiple times with the same RAM module so that there are multiple confirmations as to the result. Test both RAM modules in a similar fashion.
    Is there one RAM module that is stable and another that is unstable?
    If both RAM modules behave the same way in the same DIMM then perform the same testing in another DIMM.
    Report the results into the thread for the RAM module and the DIMM tested.
