I just downloaded Minitool Partition Wizard from the site @dalchina gave and there is nothing else bundled with it.
During the install, you do need to uncheck the install of Opera Browser, but that's all. I just installed MPW 10.3 from there.

Thanks for that, I did notice that I had to untick their Defender Shield and the AVG didn't appear.

I still can't understand how on the Win 10 update how it changed my external drive from "F" to "G" and the next minute I have "F" drive as a recovery drive of over 500mb used and only 300 left. I hadn't had this recovery drive before, and I was trying to establish what is in this drive that only just appeared, when the update stole it from me and made my external "G" Drive. How can you look into "F Drive to see what is in it?

    Thanks

    From my post #2:
In MT P Wizard you can rt click, explore the partition to view its contents.
    Post a screenshot.

External drives are simply allocated the next available drive letter - unless you do something special.
Your recovery partition was allocated a drive letter, so your external drive letter moved one up the alphabet.

What I do on the rare occasions I configure a system is
    a. If there's a DVD drive, allocate it to Z:
    b. My external backup disks are each allocated a unique drive letter so that's fixed each time they are plugged in. How? In Disk Management simply change the letter of the external drive to on late in the alphabet that will never be used.

Note: only 1 drive per drive letter.

(Macrium Reflect can be set to use the hardware ID of a drive for a particular backup definition, which means the drive letter then doesn't matter).

Use Minitool Partition Wizard. Right click on the F: drive and select Explore. Expand the + signs to see what is actually there. I got a new 481MB NTFS partition when I did the upgrade to 1809.

This is the previous 499MB Recovery partition:

Why don't you just use mountvol command?

    Code:
    mountvol F: /d

I downloaded version 10.3 from PartitionWizard.com yesterday and it tried to slip McAfee by me.

The "opt out" was deceptively worded. I avoided McAfee, but I can see why someone might be fooled.

I have no idea why I was offered McAfee and someone else was offered AVG.
