Can anyone help with extremely slow load and operation of some progs?

OK Neil23, serious or not, we can't see your PC. I'd like to submit better responses and sometimes realize I need to edit something, but this is your PC and you are receiving recommendations etc. to address what's going on and needed to know.

Not sure where this is from "Test Your PC"? I must have missed this above?

I downloaded the Belarc on my own computer and all worked fine.. on my partner's 'slow' pc it is still running... after about 20-30 minutes...
