Also, I don't know if the nForce Serial ATA Controllers being under Storage Controllers is a Win10 vs Win7 thing or not and why you saw IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller and it's entries in Win7.

Note: I doubt if you can just do a Scan for hardware changes, but you could try before rebooting.

I believe it is, and now you got me wondering about something. Lets see how much trouble I can get into this time trying something.

I did what you suggested: "You could try deleting the two nForce Serial ATA Controllers" and no pop up box came up to remove the drivers and they just re-installed on the reboot.

Here is another really longgggg shot ... if what I suggested or what you're trying don't work ....
If after deleting those two nForce Serial ATA Controllers and if it doesn't force you to reboot. Instead of doing a Scan For Hardware Changes ...try doing a Add Legacy Hardware > Let me choose > IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller and see what devices/options might be available to you.

It does force me to reboot - that's the problem, and I can't install anything with the CMD line utility because it keeps stating the interface doesn't exist. I even tried it in the Recovery Environment.

Yea ... I figured that it would ...
I think it's just the way Win10 handles that legacy nForce stuff and there isn't anything you can do about it. But hey, at least you know where your IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers went :)

Where is that "Add Legacy Hardware" option located?

In Device Manger > Action > right below the Scan For Hardware Changes.

I really want to add that Legacy Hardware darn it! You got me going in a direction I like and I'll have to see if I can find an .inf file to load when I click "Have Disk".

Yea .. I was afraid the list would be empty, but you don't know til you check.

Your only other option is to try the chipset drivers for that MB ... from your product number this looks to be you PC ??
HP Pavilion p6203w Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

HP Driver Support appears to be down, so I couldn't check it, but here is the link for nVidia GeForce 6150SE drivers
    Drivers | GeForce

Note: Please verify the above before using those chipset drivers.

Edit: That nvidia download is an .exe .. I don't know if you can extract or not, but if you can .. I would extract and only load what you need.
