Every so often, my mouse cursor (Logitech M570 - new batteries) doesn't correctly respond. The cursor either doesn't immediately move, or it will move in jerks and not necessarily to the position I want it to. But, after a very short while - a minute, or so - things are back to normal. Process Explorer doesn't show any unusually high activities going on.
Have you tried to clean mouse led?
I had the same issue and by cleaning (blowing) led, issue's gone.
Good suggestion, will try. But have to say that the LED is recessed and quite clean. This is a random occurrence and I think once it is happening, it also happens with my other mouse (Logitech M720.) BTW, mouse has been working fine since I started this thread, so we'll have to wait a while for the next jerky occurrence.
Could be a problem with radio communication between mouse and USB transmitter, Bluetooth or WiFi, both are on 2.4GHz and any interference at that frequency may cause problems. Even a phone somewhere close can do that. That's why serious gamers use only wired mice and KBs.
If mouse is far from transmitter, specially behind the case, you might wand to use shortish USB extension cord to get clear line of sight between them.
It is Windows 10 + Logitech thing. I saw it on multiple computers. It looks funny, when it moves by itself.
I have noticed having certain USB (3) drives connected can cause erratic cursor movement and severe lag (HP Mouse).
Reasonable suggestions, but this set up (with potential "spoilers" in the area) has been active for quite a while with random jerky cursor. It seems to me that when the jerky behavior occurs, the computer is whirring away. So, I'm thinking that maybe a lot of resources are being used and run ProcessExplorer to check if the computer is overly active. However, nothing really unusual appears in ProcessExplorer's screen???
