    Good point. I think I will leave it for now and change to a SSD later.

    It is a SSD.

    Apple did the same a few years ago - put tiny SSD to use as cache - they were called "Fusion drives". The idea was the OS would put files that were used a lot on this tiny SSD and let the system carry on as normal using the HDD for the rest.

    Everyone just installed the OS on the SSD though as neither Apple (or Intel come to think of it) could figure out what should be stuck there.

    I think I said it before but my advice would be to ignore it.
