Caution tinkering with system files that would impact performance. Pagefile is best left alone and managed by system. Swapfile also. Windows will not run as efficiently as it is engineered to do. In the case of the Swapfile, if deleted/disabled, you may even crash.

    Quote:

Without a swap file, some modern Windows apps simply won't run — others might run for a while before crashing.
Not having a swap file or a page file enabled will cause your RAM to work inefficiently, as it has no "emergency backup" in place.

Best to just leave these two as is. Disk cleanup can best be done without messing with critical system files that may have a negative impact on performance, or crash.

As with both ccleaner and Wise, you need to go through the options and disable the items you dont want cleaned such as browser history.

These days I would also recommend Wise over ccleaner.

But we can disable swapfile.sys if we don't use modern Apps, right?

Why Microsoft call them modern? They should call them "a program with basic functionality and bundled spyware". "Modern" sounds somewhat better though :)

You can disable anything you wish to on your machine. I would not advise these actions for the general user population.

What does swapfile.sys has to do with "Modern" APPs ?? It's used by system not APPs only. Besides, it was there in W7 that didn't have any APPs.
Modern is antiquated name they invented for interface in W8 to distinguish it from APPs as Applications which is other name for programs. In the beginning it was called Metro in W8 but even that name was abandoned. The shape of Metro/Modern in W8 many construed as a "Phone OS" that W8 in any shape or form was not.
True APPs as we know them today are programs that work in UWP (not Win32) form and are mostly installed thru MS Store although some could be side loaded..

    I don't know what you're talking about. Windows 7 has no swapfile.sys
Windows 10 (and 8) include a new virtual memory file named swapfile.sys.[...]Windows swaps out some types of data that aren’t being used to the swap file. Currently, this file is used for those new “universal” apps — formerly known as Metro apps.

You can lower the page file, you can disable Hibernation, if you don`t use it.

Go to settings -> System -> Storage -> Cleanup now (I don't know if that is the exact name, because my windows is in Spanish). But I think you get the idea.
Another alternative method is to open an administrative cmd windows and type cleanmgr.exe
Thanks , I'll do as you say
