I have had a good clean out and reduced a huge amount of bits and pieces. I got rid of out about 45gb which will do for now. Now, I want go get back in touch with Dick and continue with my learning more about Macrium Reflect. A big thank you to everyone who chipped in with advice about cleaning, I learned things I never knew existed! which I found very interesting and well worth keeping.
    Cheers,

If you would like to try Windows Disk Cleanup run from an elevated command prompt it should give you more options. Open an elevated command prompt and paste this command in and check all the boxes and see how much it will clean up, cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535

Best and safest way to Clean my Files

Good morning Dick, I used the Windows 10 clean up and it worked well. Cleaned the lot out! I must say my computer is working a lot better and up to now have not heard from my friend "Page not Responding". Great!
Are you happy to show me one or two things about Macrium Reflect, like how to find things? I have changed my backups to monthly and starting at 1900. I just hope I have got it right.

    Don't forget post #20

As @f14tomcat said you may want to run TreeSize Free (or WinDirStat) and see if there are any old big files you don't want.

    best-safest-way to clean my computer

Thank you everyone for all your help and advice. I have reduced the amount of space being used by out dated files etc and am quite happy with the results. For the moment I will leave this as they are but if I need help again, I know where to come. Thank you all. Please consider this thread closed.

    Cheers
