F10 got me to the BIOS. I changed the boot order, putting USB Hard Drive at the top of the list. plugged in
After which he computer booted up normally. What am I doing wrong?
On HP computers if you want to boot to a USB drive:
a) Power on the computer and repetitively click the F9 key
b) Select external USB HD
F9 doesn't give me the option to select boot source. F10 did.
For HP the F10 notebooks typically gives the BIOS options to change the boot order.
For HP desktops it should give you the option to select external USB HD
