GPU shoots 100% for a short time when playing games and causes FPS lag

On task manager, the GPU spikes to 100% when playing my games like Warframe and causes FPS lag. The temperature of my CPU is around 55-60 degrees when playing.

I'm not sure what causes my GPU to suddenly spike up to 100%, which causes FPS spikes.

    Can someone provide solutions?

    Thank you.

Click on Battery Icon bottom right, move Power Mode slider right(Best performance)
Try the others as well, it may have an effect.

I don't see anything wrong in the GPU going to 100%, it is meant to be fully used.

There maybe some oddity or a graphics setting that needs changing in the Game itself, particularly if it only appears in the one game at certain times when a lot is going on.

Everything is in maximum performance. The game itself I set the graphics to low, and the FPS gets reduced by 40-60 frames once the GPU usage goes to 90%-100%. This isn't the only game that it has happenened on.

Have you checked the specs of the game? Your right at the bare minimum on that laptop. On top of that....warframe has announced that they are changing the minimum specs.

Have you disabled the onboard graphics on that laptop? Switched it to just use the embedded GPU?

I run at the minimum so that it puts less pressure on the GPU, but it still occurs. The FPS is 80 at low-medium settings but goes down to 30-45 when the lag hits.

    How do I check this?
