Well said Stitch. Always try to download from the original website, but there are relatively safe download sites. I always save the download to pc and then run av apps, etc to check it out. When I open it, I always do custom install to make sure that what I want and only what I want is installed.
It never occurred to me to scan something before installing.

A pop up presumably from Dell says it wants to "update" my System BIOS.
Sounds scary.
Isn't the BIOS the complete "guts" of the OS ?
