Windows 10: installed RAM 16 (7.9 usable)

    That picture from the manual clearly shows RAM in A2 and B2 when only two sticks are used. If only one stick than it should go to A2.

    A2 is second ram slot away fromcpu and B2 is the far right slot.

    Maybe it's time to bring RAM to base frequency 1333MHz. Reset CMOS and it should start at lowest JEDEC settings. (no XMP)

    I think you're getting your slots mixed up....the manual states A2 and B2 for 2 RAM sticks and they are color coded. So for 2 RAM sticks and only 2 RAM sticks, you use the blue RAM slots. You keep referring to A1 and A2. Which is a no no.

    As mentioned; if you're using 4 RAM sticks...it doesn't matter as all slots will be filled. What does matter is that "ALL 4" RAM sticks need to be identical.

Hello, I have a problem, i clean installed windows 10 education, i have 6 GB of RAM and only 4.96 GB RAM is usable. I went and unchecked max memory, and it's still at 4.96 GB usable. Any solution?

12 GB Installed only 4 GB usable? in Performance & Maintenance
Just installed my new RAM and took a look at system to see that I only have 4 GB usable out of the 12 installed. I've done everything I thought of and nothing has worked. Does anyone know why this could be? CPU-Z Report CPU-Z TXT Report ...
I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 Home from Windows 7 Home. And I replaced my 4 RAM sticks with 8 GB RAM but my system shows : Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (3.23 GB usable). Please advise if anyone knows how to fix this. 39748
