    Hi,
I've run the command to reset the prefetcher.
I've uploaded a new trace I took today here:

Hasn't helped! This machine is driving me insane! I can't load anything quickly. It takes forever just to load the task manager, or any program I try.
Thanks so much for your help, is there anything else I can try?

Here I've taken a trace while the laptop was doing nothing I.e. no programs were open. During the first part the cpu and the Disk were both running really high. Then it slowed down.

Please can someone try and help me solve this annoying issue?
    Thanks in advance.

@Others I've taken a few days off. I'll look at your traces when I'll be back to home.

    Thanks zinou,
Not all the time but often enough when I'm not using anything.
The startup isn't that great either. I ran the command to reconfigure the prefetcher 3 times. It's still slow from startup.

Did the prefetcher fix command complete the 6 times reboot?

It did 5/6 then the last one said 1/1. So I assumed that that was the sixth time.

I had a chat with HP about my laptop. They remotely connected to it, and agreed it was too slow. They got me to send it in for a repair, which I did. It has come back, and I've installed all my programs. It still seems at least as slow as it was previously.
I've run the command to reconfigure the prefetcher. This time it has run the 6/6 time and after that 1/1. So 7 times in total.
I've taken another boot trace which I've uploaded here.
    Awaiting your kind response,
    Thanks

Forgive the obvious question. Before you installed everything again, and just after receiving it, was it responding as you'd hope? Did HP state it was behaving normally when it was returned?

What did HP do? Replace anything? Reinstall Windows?
