Having the desktop ready before login screen

Hello, first of all I apologize for my not perfect English. I try to explain anyway.

I have some desktop computers (5).
All of these have Windows 10 (latest build 1803) installed and are fully functional.

In some of these, as soon as I turn them on, and before logging in to the login screen, windows 10 starts loading all the programs. So, as soon as I enter the password, I find my desktop ready and fully functional. And I find this thing very useful. It saves me time.

But, as I said, this thing only works on some PCs, not on all.
I would like to know, if possible, how to enable this works on all PCs.
Is it a hidden function? I have not found it anywhere in the system settings.

In all computers there is only one active user (me).
No antivirus (exception made for internal Windows antivirus).

Thanks in advance for any answers !!

Hi miccio, and welcome to Ten forums!

Check in Settings under Accounts / Sign in options. Could be this: (or it could be, you're just putting some of computers to sleep)

Edit: I always forget to check Brink's great tutorials first..

Thanks a lot for the quick reply.

I'm sorry, despite having done a search, I had not found the post suggested above (Use sign-in info to auto finish after Update or Restart in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials). Next time I have to check better

As soon as possible I will check the indicated option.
In fact, in the PC from which I write now (and that works correctly on boot) the option is flagged.

Thanks again. I will check ...

I clicked on the link in your last post and it opened to "Turn On or Off Use sign-in info to auto finish setting up device and restart apps after update or restart in Windows 10".

An issue with the requested action will occur when having 2 or more Users and can occur with only 1 User, Windows is having to set up the computer according to the profile/s and display those users, takes a bit of time. Getting in the way is the display of images such as provided by Bing, for speed of startup I'd look into turning those off.
Berton, miccio stated that he's the only user on all of his systems...
And regarding that link, he apologized, that he didn't find the link on his own

There are many variables that go into this, so what you want is likely not possible on all computers. The faster the computer, and the faster the hard drive, the quicker it will be done loading. But, much of that also depends on what is set to load at start up. There are many variables. If it was me, I wouldn't sorry so much about what happens right after login, as long as it's a normal amount of time. I'd worry more about how the system runs once it is booted.

The biggest 'variable' is that the desktop is not static [unchanging] like a picture on the wall but is dynamic, always being refreshed/redrawn. Every little thing the computer can do can affect that feature.

    Not working for me
At login screen after boot up whether it’s 5 mins or 1 min nothing pre loads. Used to be super fast

Doesn't for me either. I have to login before anything starts loading. I've not seen any Windows PC work the way miccio described. Would be lovely to have it work that way though.
