How come Windows 10 is so slow. Video

Randomly when I boot my computer it requires a lot of capacity. There isn't anything in the background, here is a recording: https://youtu.be/v5sqUsqZ9xg

    1) would be nice to see a list of the startup items you have...Startup Tab in Taskmanager

    2) I notice at the very beginning, you have a lot of network traffic, and the process Delivery Optimization. That looks very much like it is in the process of preparing an Upgrade. That takes a lot of CPU/Disk/network (downloading). Could you tell us what version of Windows home you are on, please. Hold the WIN KEY, hit R, enter WINVER....and it will display your current system version.

It's downloading build 1803. That shouldn't even write so much on the disk as it is only downloading. I think you have another problem in your system.

I agree. All that activity is it's trying to upgrade to the SCU 1803. Lots of that disk activity is the optimizer preparing the files. The whole process alternates between lots of CPU, then more DL, then more Disk/Cpu....rinse, repeat. In the vid, you restarted the machine right in the middle of the upgrade process while it was churning away. If you have been doing that repeatedly, it will never finish, and you may well break something. Let it go....let it finish.

The laptop has been on since yesterday. Any upgrade got enough time to finish already.

I would say nothing is wrong it's doing the 1803 update, and you are interrupting it.

Nothing in the background with Windows is ridiculous and impossible, there around 2,000+ processes going on.

You might want to go to Windows updates and do some configuration, also your AV Bitdefender seems to be involved.

Helmut....might want to go check this thread also. I believe he is stuck at needing a restart, but can't get an answer. Thanks... Not letting me choose restart time - Windows 10 Forums
