Start-up and After sleep takes forever along with software

My Thinkpad T440 experiences similar symptoms, i.e. waking from sleep (by opening of lid) is very variable. Sometimes instantly, and sometimes a minute or two for no apparent reason. As Win10 is doing something resource-heavy before I can get access using my fingerprint in Windows Hello. Seems to be a result of the latest update (to build 17134.48)

I'm in process of wiping PC and files and be done with this unless Windows is the issue. I did a wipe through defender and it wiped but left some files so I'm doing a second wipe through recovery.

Ok, wiped and reinstalled software I had installed and PC runs fast again. Not sure what issue was but wiping fixed.
