My PC won't turn on after update

I installed some updates while I stepped away from my PC. When I came back I found it like in a hibernation state and irresponsive. I tried disconnecting the power cable and restarted it but nothing. I even tried to put in the installation disc but there's no power to open the tray. I do see an led light, telling me that power is coming in but not enough to boot. Do you have any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I actually tried some of these, especially the parts about checking the connections. Then, I proceeded to check my PSU and it didn't work. I tried an old one that I got, using the same tester and it did work. The PSU is fried for some reason. It is a 600W PSU and I had just bought it a month ago

I would try a warranty claim.

You are most welcome. I used the word 'try' as they may refuse on the grounds that it's fried (claiming it's somehow your fault) but I would just be persistent and i'm sure you'll be ok.
