Post Spring Update- delay in Windows Explorer

I'm checking to see if these are known issues.

Since installing the 1803 update my File Manager (er- Windows Explorer) has an approx. 2-3 second delay opening up. Doesn't sound like much, but it is so different from before that I was opening 2 or 3 windows before realizing it was coming.

Also, the same problem as with the Fall Update: Windows shuts down but the PC does not turn off.
I disabled Fast Startup, and it seemed to solve it, but every now and then it's back.

    What do we know?

I don't have an issue with File Explorer opening up slow. It loads instantly when I click on the taskbar. My Win10 is a clean install, not an update though.

It takes me more than a full day to configure and set up my PC after a clean install is complete. And this is a working office so it is a weekend job. So a clean install turns out to be a major project here!

It used to take me a long time. Now it is more of all the settings in Windows. Man I wish I could export one reg file that did all that lol. I did go through the tutorials and got the reg files saved for most of what I change. Then, on the last clean install, I have started a text file that I note any changes made once I install Windows. It sure makes the task a lot faster.

For me, installation takes about an hour, custom configuration takes about an hour, but loading and configuring all of my software, tools, and the rest takes forever.

And yes! I have my handy 4-page word doc with complete step-by-step for every configuration in a clean install, and a 2 page one for every feature update.

I get lags, delays, freezing and crashes on a minute by minute basis!!!

And, just now, the whole damn OS just crashed!!!

Yikes! I better count my blessings, while we all wait for the next cumulative update.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Can you restore an image or roll back?

    Found a fix:

Simply Reset the Folders in Explorer.

Change Folder and Search Options > View Tab > Folder Views > Reset Folders

Then go back and set your preferred folder view.
