    System folder growing

    Hello,
Last night before shutting down the computer, system folder C: size was 27.8 GB.
Today, about an hour after starting computer, it grew up to 30 GB.!
There were no any updates. Checked which files \ folders modified \ created today, there were no findings.
    I ran "Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore", the answer was "No".
    Any explanation please.
    Answers will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Motim

Restore points could be the cause. Depending on your settings, these may be created automatically. You can see how much space is being used for restore points by opening the configuration for System Protection.

    Hello and Thanks,
There is only one restore point since two days ago, nothing else.
    Any other possible reason ?

There could be a number of things. If you open Settings > System > Storage you can explore exactly what is using the space. Click on the C: drive for a breakdown by usage, and on each usage category for more details.

One possibility is the pagefile. If this is set to the default of 'System managed size' then it will grow when there are heavy demands on the memory. The system doesn't seem to be able to shrink it later when memory demands drop. The default size of a system-managed pagefile is about the same as your installed RAM. If it has grown, turn off Virtual Memory, restart, then turn it back on again to reset it to the default size.
