Well, I guess I need to a clean install. I am not happy w/the speed of my PC. It's a decent machine AMD A6, 8gb memory and Samsung 840 SSD but it's too laggy w/W10. W7 was quick.
ChrisPbass try installing the KBs I mentioned.
I can't compare the upgrade with a clean install because having done the upgrade, I immediately did a clean install. But I'm experiencing instances where Windows 10 is REALLY SLOW. Typing this would take ages with a lag of many seconds before the text on the screen would catch up with what I was typing!!
It doesn't do it all the time & a reboot restores speed to normal. But what is causing this is a mystery!!
If you did a clean install, don't you have to do updates?
Had you checked out your CPU activity and memory utilization in Task Manager/Performance when you are having this issue?
If you have specific programs that run slowly, try running compatibility check in the compatibility tab of that program's properties. Some programs may run better under Win 7 or 8.1 compatibility. Was the case with me.
