    Black Icon Underlay?

    I have this black "underlay",
    (see image below).
It appears form time to time,
on various folders within Windows Explorer and also on sub-folders as well.

Any idea what this is and why it's happening?

    Thanks for the link.:)
I 'm aware of the manual icon-cache rebuilding process within windows 10,
but it's always been quite irritating for me to implement.
This tool should come in handy.
If I could only figure out why this happens in the first place.
I would avoid or try and keep form doing such.
However, this does seems to be a very elusive peculiarity.
    Thanks again.

If you are not comfortable with the app, you may try it manually then. It's up to you!

Don't be shy, icons database seems corrupt. I've been there too.
    Take care,
