    Green Leaf Icon?

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me, what the green leaf icon represents in Task Manager?
This is the first time I've seen this and I have no idea what it is.

It is a new feature that suspends the app until you launch it. I don't have the exact wording for it. It will disappear when you launch the program.

    Is that so?

I'm not sure how useful this "Green Leaf Feature" might be,
    but thanks for your reply.

I read very little on it when I saw it. I clicked on my weather app when it showed it other day. The green went away and I was like cool. I am sure there is more definitive information on it. I just noticed it was on a few apps, but disappeared once I loaded them. Might be helpful for computers with lower specs I guess. :)

The green leaf indicates that a process is currently suspended.

Actually, if you just widen this new Status column it says 'suspended' there too.

Apparently the Status column was added around the time of build 17101, initially (and confusingly) saying for every entry how many processes were suspended, even when there were '0 suspended'...

Upgraded to build 17101 insider fast ring today and noticed strange entries in Task Manager Window...

Hey! That's a really cool graphic you showed on your post. How did you do that?

The green symbol is the econo symbol. Windows eco mode or battery saver. When you hover over the leaf icon in Task Manager’s Status column, you will now see a tooltip describing what it means (this app is suspending processes to help improve system performance).

I don't get any tooltip when I hover over it? Maybe I have tooltips turned off somewhere?

Ztruker You right, hovering the econ symbol no longer gives a description. MS must have removed that feature. The econ symbol has been there some time. I think it first appeared with the March 1803 update?

you can go to the task manager and click on the green leaf double click it will then expand. telling you the app is suspended . i have similar aps on google chrome etc i think this is were there coming up with it i have 64 gb ram and i was using half o9n chrome i got a suspender and all the tabs i leave open and not in use they turn white all the cookies etc freeze till i reopen the tab dropping my usage back down to 4 gb with 3 sets of 10 tabbs or more open. i noticed this tool on windows doing the same it is not as good but i think there testing waters with wake up and sleep modes as you freely move about your pc. but soon it will be like a smart house turning on and off as you walk through the auto lights in ur home. or public restroom.
